As operator under a Petroleum Agreement, OPCO coordinates and conducts joint operations on behalf of the contractor group.
- Prepare and execute approved work programmes and budgets.
- Conduct operations in accordance with good international petroleum industry practice.
- Maintain health, safety, security and environmental standards.
- Recruit, organise and supervise qualified personnel and contractors.
- Maintain technical, operational and accounting records.
- Secure permits, approvals and consents required for operations.
- Procure goods and services transparently and efficiently.
- Liaise with government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Prepare training and technology-transfer programmes.
- Report operational performance to partners and regulators.
